Striking, handmade bar crafted with a skin-nourishing blend of shea butter, olive oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil, and castor oil. Together, these ingredients deeply moisturise, restore balance, and support skin softness. Charcoal draws out impurities and excess oil, while finely textured chia seeds provide gentle exfoliation, helping to smooth the skin’s surface and promote a healthy-looking glow.

Scented with star anise essential oil (Illicium verum), this soap offers more than just a unique aroma. Known for its naturally calming and mood-balancing properties, the oil also brings antibacterial and antifungal benefits, helping to keep skin fresh and clean. Its spicy, slightly sweet scent creates a grounding sensory experience while supporting skin health.

Shea Butter:
Rich in vitamins A and E, shea butter deeply nourishes and rejuvenates the skin while supporting its natural collagen production. Its anti-inflammatory properties help calm irritation and redness, making it ideal for dry or sensitive skin. This deeply moisturising emollient softens and smooths the skin, improves elasticity, and forms a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss.

Olive Oil:
Loaded with antioxidants like vitamin E and polyphenols, olive oil protects the skin from environmental damage and premature aging. Its hydrating properties lock in moisture, calm irritation, and improve elasticity, leaving the skin with a healthy, radiant glow.

Coconut Oil:
Packed with fatty acids like lauric acid that deeply moisturize and repair the skin barrier. Its natural antibacterial and antifungal properties make it perfect for soothing dryness, irritation, and redness while leaving the skin soft and supple.

Rice Bran Oil:
Rice bran oil is rich in antioxidants like vitamin E and gamma-oryzanol, which protect the skin from environmental damage and combat premature aging. Its lightweight texture deeply hydrates without clogging pores, soothing irritation and improving skin tone. Regular use promotes a smooth, radiant, and youthful complexion.

Castor Oil:
Deeply moisturises while its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties soothe sensitive or irritated skin. It’s ideal for cleansing clogged pores, promoting healing, and improving skin softness and suppleness.

Chia seeds:
Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and essential minerals that help nourish and protect the skin. As a natural exfoliant, they gently remove dead skin cells, support a smoother texture, and enhance skin renewal. Their hydrating properties also help maintain moisture levels, leaving the skin soft, refreshed, and visibly healthier.

Please note: While Charcoal Star Soap offers many potential benefits, individual skin types and sensitivities can vary. Some may find the exfoliating effect too intense or experience irritation from the Chia seeds. If you have sensitive skin or a skin condition, we recommend testing the soap on a small area first to ensure it’s suitable for you.

Activated Charcoal: 
It is a powerful detoxifier that draws out impurities, toxins, and excess oil from the skin. It's ideal for deep cleansing and helps prevent breakouts by unclogging pores. Charcoal also promotes a matte finish, leaving skin fresh and balanced.

Because I use natural clays and plant-based ingredients for colouring, some soaps may cause discoloration on white washcloths. To avoid this, I recommend using a darker-colored washcloth or lathering the soap in your hands before applying it to your skin.
